We know you've been anxiously awaiting notification of when the LaVaur and Laura Wilcox Clan will reconvene again...We'll it's official we have scheduled the Blue Mountain Guest Ranch in beautiful SE Utah for this summer's reunion. You'll enjoy some of the most beautiful scenes of nature, including Monticello's famous "Horsehead" (Photo by Rob) as well as good company, delicious food (which you'll help provide) and no TV, phones, or Internet.
Because the area is used for youth camps, wards, and stake activity during the summer, family events have second choice when it comes to dates, but we're happy with the June dates, and hope you can make it work as well.
Plenty of water is promised this year, in case a water fight should erupt. The Blanding Stakes have built a large new outdoor pavillion, as well as gents and ladies bathrooms complete with multiple shower stalls. The pavillion has a kitchen work and serving area so we can easily serve large groups. We'll save the cabins for those traveling long distances, so they don't have to fly with tents! We hope those living outside of Utah and Idaho will want to come. There are basketball and volleyball areas and you're sure to spot deer and other animals. Recapture reservoir is only 8 miles away where we can canoe, swim, etc. There is a large lodge in case of rain, so we can still proceed with crafts, programs etc.
I'll be posting links to things to do in the area, in case you decide to come earlier, or stay longer. But in the mean time mark the dates on your calendar. Please add your vote to the polls on the right column and we'll plan accordingly.
